Sheepskins for sale

Occasionally we have a small number of high quality, luxurious skins for sale from our own flock.

AVAILABLE NOW; VERY Limited Edition of 2023 super-soft and supple Shetland sheepskins from a small, primitive flock of grass-fed, regeneratively and lovingly raised and predominantly blade shorn family of Shetland sheep from high up on the windswept Mendip Hills of Somerset. Adding superb texture and warmth to a room for cosy nights in or perfect to be given as a classically luxurious gift.

Our specialised flock, built up over nearly 20 years and comprising solely of beautiful grey katmoget patterned sheep, locally graze old fashioned grasses and wildflowers in sustainable ways across the hills and foothills within traditional villages, supporting wildlife habitats in orchard and hay meadow settings. Raising our sheep without the use of chemical inputs and in line with permaculture and agroecological principles we then choose to get our skins (each hand-selected for quality, colour and patterning and each one completely unique) tanned locally in Devon to minimise transportation and shipping and to promote and support a local, traditional British tannery to help sustain traditional, small-scale industry.

This is a slow-grown product, in line with our family’s farming ethos and our skins are not imported, tanned abroad or dyed. We celebrate everything natural here on our smallholding in a closed-loop system (as much as we possibly can) for sustainability.
